Are we doing the right kind of tech due diligence for startups?

Updated: Jun 22, 2022

Recently FWVC held a virtual Founder HR DD session and on the back of that we’re following up with an in-person breakfast event in central London on Wednesday 29th June 2022 8.30am on the topic of Founder Tech DD.

Our lovely sponsors AWS will be providing us with a yummy breakfast to get us started for the day.

Are we doing the right kind of tech due diligence?

We’ll be talking to Chris Philipps CEO Philipps & Byrne https://www.linkedin.com/in/chrisphilipps-techduediligence/

As a tech DD expert Chris will be taking us through their approach to working with VCs and startups, how they structure this, the objectives, timelines, and outputs and I’m sure some “anonymous” anecdotes across the 100s of DD cases they have took on as a company.

To balance it out we’ll have two tech founder CTOs on their way to Series B.

Perran Pengelly, CTO and co-founder Dr Doctor https://www.linkedin.com/in/perran-pengelly-060567b/

can speak to his experience of working with Chris and team and I’m sure will give an honest reflection of the challenges and positives that came out of the experience.

Sara Stephens - CTO and co-founder Rest Less https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarajstephens/ will talk about her experience to date, any feedback she has gained from the CTO community in general and what VCs should be looking out for.

AWS will also tell us about their free offerings around DevOps to make sure our portfolio teams get great value for money.

I’ll run it so we have plenty of opportunity to ask questions as we run through and time afterwards to mix, network and eat breakfast.
